Science & Technology Business Matchmaking

October 27, 2009
Albuquerque, NM - USA

About the Event

The International Business Matchmaking is an event designed to facilitate meetings between technology-based companies, academic organizations, research centers and government agencies. The event also intends to provide a forum for accelerating SME formation and venture funding for Ibero-American startups in an effort to spur regional and international economic development.

This international event offers participants the possibility to meet with business and academic contacts that come from different countries in Ibero-America with the purpose of generating relationships and business in the short, medium and long term.

A difference from other business round tables and matchmaking sessions, the International Business Matchmaking facilitates not only business-to-business interactions, but also business-to-academia connections and government-to-government relations promoting commercial and economic exchanges, as well as collaborative alliances.

This event offers an excellent opportunity to identify suppliers, potential clients and partners, introduce new products, establish alliances, and network with international peers in the technology sector expanding current market and business opportunities.

Organized by:

The Ibero-American Science and Technology Education Consortium (ISTEC)

The City of Albuquerque

The Micro and Nanotechnology Commercialization Education Foundation (MANCEF)

In Collaboration with the:

The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce

How it works?

Company representatives meet individually for up to thirty (30) minutes with potential buyers, clients or partners with the purpose of establishing relationships, which could be commercial or collaborative in nature. Depending on meeting schedules companies may have the opportunity for follow up meetings immediately after the event or during the Welcome Cocktail to take place in the evening.

The business matchmaking is carried out before the event maximizing the number of business meetings and its effectiveness. Company representatives meet with pre-qualified leads that share the same interests.

How to participate?

Interested companies, academic organizations, research centers and government agencies may pre-register at no cost  until midnight October 5th, 2009 (MST). Based on the company’s interest and profile, the organizing committee will identify potential opportunities within the pre-registered companies.

Companies that have been matched with at least one potential business or collaborative opportunity will be invited to register for the event. To participate in the business round tables companies have to pay the registration fee. The number of potential meetings will be provided prior registration, and the company may choose to meet with all or some of the pre-qualified leads.
