Nano Convergence Conference

Monday October 26th, and Tuesday the 27th

General Information

The Ibero-American Science and Technology Education Consortium (ISTEC) and The Micro and Nanotechnology Commercialization Education Foundation (MANCEF) will join the the Nano Network of New Mexico, the Nano Network of Northeast Ohio, The Southwest Nano Consortium and the Bi-National Sustainability Laboratory to further the collaborative nature of nanotechnology and to connect the networks together in the advancement of nanoscience and business development for the next wave of innovation.

The result of this collaborative effort is a Nano Convergence Conference that will highlight examples where convergence between scientific disciplines and industrial applications has yielded an improved commercial product or industrial shift.

Because nanoscience and nanotechnologies borrows from physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, and materials, it must be seen as a new pan-industrial "enabling" platform technology upon which not just new products, but also new economies, will be built.

Attendee Profile:

Science and engineering educators, national labs, research institutes, micro/nano companies, techtransfer, nano entrepreneurs, tech officers and business development from energy, biotech and related areas; as well as economic development agencies.
