Awards

LCE Chapter

The students with the top 5 projects from the LCE Chapter will receive a scholarship from Hewlett Packard and ISTEC which will cover all the expenses of transportation of a student to the finals, as well as, a certificate that guarantees their position in the Chapter and that they have been selected as finalist of the Contest. The advisory professor also will receive a similar certificate.

The finalist projects that belong to an institution member of ISTEC will receive in addition a scholarship that covers the costs for lodging and travel for one student per project during their participation in the Final Round of the Contest.

The University of Guayaquil will provide lodging for all international students and students from other cities of Ecuador that belong to a member of ISTEC and that are selected to participate in the Qualifying Round of the LCE chapter.

Iberia Chapter

The top 3 student projects from the Iberian Chapter will receive a scholarship courtesy of ISTEC and Hewlett Packard that will cover the airfare for one student per project to travel to the final in Cancun, Mexico. As well as, a certificate that guarantees their selection as a finalist in the Contest. The professor will also receive a similar certificate.

Final Round

Prizes are awarded by category that includes products of the sponsor companies. The students and professors also will receive participation certificates.

Sun Microsystems awards

The top project developed with Sun Microsystems technologies in the categories of Control and Robotics, and Development of Software and Hardware will be awarded with an Extreme work station, courtesy of Sun Microsystems given in the country of origin of the student.
