You need to register to participate in any of the week events, with exception of the III Ibero-American Student Contest and expoISTEC.

ISTEC General Assembly Refund and Registration Policy
REGISTRATION: All interested participants must register online in any of the following categories.
All registration categories include access to the selected conference / workshop / seminar, coffee breaks, conference materials, welcome reception, and free Albuquerque tour. Certain events also include proceedings, launch and/or cocktail, visit the event page for specific benefits included in the registration of each event.
ISTEC Member: If you are an ISTEC member you are entitled to a "Member rate”, which is considerably discounted from the regular price. The member rate is valid for members that are current with their dues until 2009. To register you have to request your member password at info@istec.org. This registration category is entitled to upload final papers.
MANCEF member: If you are a MANCEF member you are entitled to a reduced price for the Nano Convergence Conference. To register you have to request your member password at mancef@gmail.com. This registration category is entitled to upload final papers.
Non-member: If you are not a member of ISTEC or MANCEF, you should register at the non-member rate. This registration category is entitled to upload final papers.
Student: If at the time of registration or at the time of initial submission of your paper or project for review you were a "student", you may register at the student rate, which is considerably reduced from the regular rate. You may be required to provide evidence of student status at the registration table (student ID). This registration category is NOT entitled to upload final papers. Participants of the III Ibero-American Student Contest should register using this category if they would like to participate in other events.
REFUNDS:
Participants that register and later find they cannot attend the event may request a refund of the registration fee(s) according to the following conditions:
Requests before September 30, 2009: For requests received before the Early Registration deadline (September 30, 2009), 90% of the fee will be refunded.
Requests between October 1st and October 11, 2009: 70% of the fee will be refunded.
Requests between October 12 and October 19, 2009: 50% of the fee will be refunded.
Requests after October 19, 2009: There will be no refunds for requests received after midnight (MST) Monday October 19, 2009.
Cancelled events: In the event of cancellation of an event (e.g. a Workshop), a full refund for that event will be issued to the registree.
