Library Linkages Initiative (Digital Library Linkages)
The Digital Library Linkages Initiative (Digital Library Linkages) promotes the use
and creation of real time information sharing services. Within this
initiative are projects which seek to provide up-to-date technical
information in a timely manner to a user community which is heterogeneous
in its needs and geographical location. It includes the distribution
of materials through networked interconnection, development of regional
databases, and improved availability of materials for education
and research. To meet these goals, projects rely on ISTEC sister
efforts in telecommunications, computers, and advanced education
exchange programs.
