EUROPEAN CERTIFICATION IN THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE (NYSE)

New HP Labs Configuration

HP announced that it reconfigured its central research group, HP Labs, to address the most complex challenges facing technology customers in the next decade. HP Labs was reorganized into 23 focused labs spanning its seven worldwide locations. Collectively, HP Labs will focus on five main research areas: information explosion, dynamic cloud services, content transformation, intelligent infrastructure and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, HP Labs has established an Open Innovation Office responsible for funding strategic collaborations and deepening our relationships with researchers in academia, government and
industry. We expect these collaborations to result in mutually beneficial, high-impact research.

An exciting development is the new manner in which HP Labs will fund university research collaborations. Under the leadership of our new HP Labs Director and Senior Vice President, Prith Banerjee, yesterday HP made it possible for colleges, universities and research institutions worldwide to participate in joint research with HP Labs through an open and competitive process. Postgraduate Expo 2008:
During the XXII Postgraduate National Congress different educational institutions, research centers, government agencies, companies and related organizations will meet in the Central Courtyard of the President’s Office of Universidad Autónoma de Yucatan, this meeting has been named:

POST GRADUATE EXPO 2008:
This congress has been designed to disseminate and communicate to all the congress members, students who would like to enroll in the postgraduate program, the community that participates in the program, the personnel of the 3 government divisions, and to the entire society, what Mexico has to offer on diverse study programs, and also all the products and services related to the postgraduate degree.

INVITATION
The Mexican Education Council A. C., COMEPO has committed, as part of its vision and mission, to maintain and promote the communication of experiences, analysis, and dialogue that will later derive in concrete actions and proposals.

XV National Seminar of University Libraries (SNBU)

The XV National Seminar of University Libraries (SNBU) will be held for the first time in the city of Sao Paulo, in November 2008 and will be on Entrepreneurship and Innovation: the challenges of the university library. The coordinators mark the commemoration
of 30 years of the event, initiated in 1978 and succeeded by biennial initiatives in different Brazilian states.

The SNBU 2008 was organized by the Consórcio CRUESP Bibliotecas, which was formed by the Library System of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and Universidade Estadual Paulista “Julio de Mesquita Filho” (UNESP).
