| Double Graduate Degree Launched in Perú |
| The University of New Mexico (UNM) and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) have launched a Double Masters program: a Science Graduate Degree in the area of Digital and Image Processing. Eventually, the program is envisioned to expand into a Double PhD degree. With the assistance of ISTEC, close to ten students from PUCP have graduated with a MS or PhD degree from UNM. These former students form part of this double-degree effort, as they bring their expertise, knowledge and guidance to the current graduate students in the program.
The Double Masters degree requires students to be enrolled full time, and is differentiated from existing professional development certificates.
The first student to participate in the UNM-PUCP double degree program is Ing. Alvaro Ulloa, whose research has focused on image processing.
Alvaro is part of the Digital Image and Signal Processing Lab at PUCP: Read about his research projects, publications, and CV here
