Considering the continuous advances in Telecommunications Systems and due to the international acceptance obtained by the 2007 and 2008 editions of the Symposium of Telecommunications Systems, we invite you to participate in the Third Edition of this event to be held in June 2009.
The Symposium of Telecommunications Systems claims to promote the diffusion of the development of scientific and technological research in Ecuador and the world, by means of this international call for papers based on work made by senior and young researchers.
Young researchers, students developing their bachelor or post-graduate degree thesis, and senior researchers from both academia and the telecommunications industry and related areas, are encouraged to participate. Papers which correspond to recent and inedited research done in Ecuador or worldwide may be accepted either in English or in Spanish.

Tomando en cuenta los continuos avances en el área de las Telecomunicaciones y dado la gran aceptación obtenida en la edición 2007 y 2008 de las Jornadas de Sistemas de Telecomunicaciones, convocamos a participar de la Tercera Edición de este evento para junio del 2009.
Las Jornadas de Sistemas de Telecomunicaciones pretenden promover la difusión de la producción del desarrollo científico y tecnológico en el Ecuador y el mundo, mediante la convocatoria internacional para la presentación de artículos sobre trabajos realizados por profesionales y jóvenes investigadores del área.
Se convoca a jóvenes investigadores, estudiantes desarrollando tesis de pregrado y postgrado, y a profesionales tanto a nivel académico como de la industria de las telecomunicaciones y áreas afines a que participen presentando sus ensayos técnicos en Inglés o en Español correspondientes a los resultados de investigaciones recientes e inéditas desarrolladas en el Ecuador o el resto del mundo.

Objectives
• To facilitate the exchange and the production of knowledge that contributes to the training of human resource responsible for the information services, in new technologies, file management and electronic administration of documents, to respond to the needs of the country in this matter and to contribute to the modernization of the Archives and Documentation Centers.
• To promote discussion between professionals on the necessity of approaching the creation, management, preservation and control of the electronic document from the archival point of view for the sake of facilitating its availability, authenticity, integrity and reliability in order to guarantee the rights of the citizens, the transparency of the management, the support to decision making and to preserve the bibliographical materials.
• To facilitate the discussion between institutions related with preservation procedures, in order to establish mechanisms of coordination and creation of networks that allow the sharing of information, problems, solutions and achievements in the area.

Objetivos
• Facilitar el intercambio y la producción de conocimientos que contribuyan a la formación del recurso humano responsable de las unidades y servicios de información, en nuevas tecnologías, gestión de archivos y administración electrónica de documentos, para dar respuesta a las necesidades del país en esta materia y contribuir a la modernización de los Archivos y Centros de Documentación.
• Propiciar entre los profesionales del área la discusión sobre la necesidad de abordar desde el punto de vista archivístico la creación, gestión, preservación y control del documento electrónico en aras de facilitar su disponibilidad, autenticidad, integridad y confiabilidad a fin de garantizar los derechos de los ciudadanos, la transparencia de la gestión, el apoyo a la toma de decisiones y la conservación de la memoria documental.
• Facilitar el acercamiento entre las personas e instituciones vinculadas al quehacer archivístico, a fin de establecer mecanismos de coordinación y creación de redes que permitan compartir información, problemas, soluciones y logros en el área.
